Description

Jason Nelson knows The Answer… It’s Jesus. Every so often during the late 1970s, Bishop James D. Nelson, Sr. would motion to his six-year-old twin boys, Jason and Jonathan, to come to the front of his Greater Bethlehem Temple Church. There, dressed in their cute-as-a-button Sunday best, the young men would perform a duet on a classic Gospel tune. The congregation filled with excitement, loved hearing their voices.

Jason and Jonathan Nelson have each parlayed this early experience into significant success as solo artists and songwriters in Gospel music. And by recording his latest album, The Answer, live at Bethlehem Temple Church in Randallstown, Maryland, Bishop Jason Nelson sang to some of the same people who heard him and his brother at age six – at the church where he is now celebrating his tenth year as pastor.

Besides his own ministry, Jason Nelson began writing songs for Gospel artists for over a decade. Marvin Sapp, for example, has recorded several Nelson compositions, including “Place of Worship,” “Don’t Count Me Out,” and the title track from his wildly popular, Gold-certified, breakout album, “Thirsty”. While he hasn’t completely stopped penning songs for others, Nelson shifted his focus while creating songs for The Answer.

Coming off the helms of his Billboard #1 album Jesus Revealed, Nelson is gearing up to release his fifth album The Answer. Nelson is well known for hit singles such as “Shifting The Atmosphere,” “Nothing Without You” & “I Am” which was a number one Gospel hit for over 20 weeks. The Stellar Award winner recently released his new single “Forever,” which premiered nationally on “Get Up Mornings! with Erica Campbell” in 36 markets.
